[CONCEPT]
A slime, hailing from the Slimelands, where the skeleton-having races are seldom seen. In a convoluted magical accident, Lalu was cursed with teleportation; every couple weeks to few months, Lalu is teleported to a random point on the planet. Turning life's lemons into lemonade, she became an explorer and adventurer, wandering the countless lands of her world and learning of their cultures. Though initially unfamiliar with the ways of vertebrates, her adventures have left her with a treasure trove of knowledge about all races and lands.

[SLIME STUFF]

While her 'natural' form is an amorphous blob, Lalu is most often seen in the humanoid, feminine form pictured above, which she finds most comfortable for gender euphoria reasons. In that form, her surface tension is fairly strong - you can touch her 'skin' and it will provide a normal amount of resistance, but if you apply serious pressure then you'll break the surface and find your hand inside her, or even passing through her. Her typical viscosity is somewhere between jello and syrup.
She can change her form freely from that baseline; however, the less familiar a form is, the less resistance it has. You could shake humanoid Lalu's hand without trouble, but if she grew a third arm, shaking that would be way stickier and more malleable.
Lalu has no internal organs; we're not going to worry too hard about that works, but essentially every part of her is both mind and body. Stabbing or bashing her doesn't do any real damage, because it just changes her shape. If part of her is removed, then she'll essentially been split into two slimes, each with a portion of her mind and memories. The smaller the piece, the less clearly it can think, but all pieces will be overwhelmed with a desire to reunite.
It's possible for her to harden or even sharpen parts of her body temporarily by focusing. She mainly uses this for combat, extending her 'hair' into whips with solidified blades at the end. This drains a lot of energy, though, so she needs to eat a lot if she overdoes it.
Lalu 'eats' by just shoving organic matter into her body, where it's gradually digested. She can taste it through this process.
She's highly susceptible to changes in temperature. When it's hot, she's goopier and less consistently people-shaped; when it's very cold, she's in danger of her body actually freezing solid. If this happens, she's essentially in stasis until she gets a chance to thaw out.
Reverts to blob state when highly relaxed.
